Electrician résumé questions
Where should my qualifications go on the page?
In a certifications block immediately after the headline, before work history. Electrical hiring is legally gated on competence, so a Geselle or Meister qualification, testing certification and PV endorsement have to be visible without scrolling. Include the awarding chamber and the year.
Should I list the standards I work to?
Yes, name them, for example DIN VDE 0100 or the relevant IEC parts. It signals that you understand documentation and inspection rather than only pulling cable. Contractors screening for a testing and inspection role look for exactly that vocabulary.
How do I show experience across different sectors?
Split the bullets by installation type, since domestic rewiring and industrial three-phase work are judged differently. If you want industrial work, put your panel and motor experience above the domestic jobs even if the domestic work was more recent.
