Sales Representative résumé example for 2026
A sales CV is read as a scoreboard. Quota, attainment, deal size and cycle length in the first six lines, because a sales manager decides in under a minute whether your numbers are real and whether they map to their market.

What a sales representative résumé has to show
- Quota figure and attainment percentage by year
- Average deal size and sales cycle length
- Territory or segment, plus whether it was new business or renewal
- CRM you worked in and the pipeline you carried
Bullets you can adapt
Every one names a system or a surface, a change, and a number. Take the shape, not the figures — substitute your own and keep them defensible.
- Carried a €480k annual new business quota and finished at 118% in the first full year in territory
- Booked 22 qualified meetings a month from 140 cold calls and 200 emails a week
- Closed 41 new logos with an average contract value of €11,600 and a 34-day median sales cycle
- Grew a dormant territory of 320 accounts from €90k to €310k in annual revenue over 18 months
- Lifted proposal-to-close conversion from 21% to 33% by moving pricing conversations to the second call
- Kept a 3.1x pipeline coverage ratio in Salesforce with under 5% of open deals past their close date
- Trained 4 new starters on the outbound script, and all 4 hit quota within their second quarter
And the ones to cut
These are duties and adjectives. They describe a job title, not a person doing it.
- Responsible for meeting and exceeding sales targets
- Excellent communicator and natural relationship builder
- Handled inbound enquiries and maintained customer records

Sales Representative résumé questions
What if I missed quota one year?
Show it with context rather than hiding the year. A representative who wrote 84% during a territory split and then 121% the year after looks credible, whereas three straight years of unlabelled numbers look invented. Sales managers assume a CV with only good years is filtered.
Should I include the president's club or ranking?
Yes, but state the field size. Ranked 3 of 47 tells a manager far more than president's club winner, which means nothing outside your old company. Put it beside the quota line for the same year.
How do I write a sales CV with no sales experience?
Use whatever had a target attached: retail upsell rates, fundraising totals, call volumes in a support job. Then be specific about the segment you want, because entry level hiring is mostly about coachability and evidence you can handle rejection at volume.
