Human Resources Manager résumé questions
How important is works council experience in Germany?
For any company above roughly 100 employees it is close to essential, and recruiters screen for it explicitly. Name the agreements you negotiated and the topics, such as shift allowances or working time, because that shows you have sat through real Betriebsrat consultation rather than reading about it.
Should HR CVs include salary and headcount data?
Include scale, not confidential figures. Population supported, case volume and attrition rates are fine and expected. Actual salary bands or named individuals are not, and putting them on a CV signals poor judgement in a role built on discretion.
Generalist or specialist, which reads better?
Say which you are in the headline and stop hedging. Generalists should show breadth by case type and population size, specialists should go deep on one area such as compensation or employee relations. A CV that claims both usually gets read as neither.
